Among other exciting things this weekend, I discovered 2 fun new websites. One is the PostSecret Blog and the other is akwardfamilyphotos.com. They are both amazingly entertaining. And I'll admit, I actually joined twitter just to see PostSecret upddates more than once a week. There are some crazy people out there - and I love that these sites have documented it. They make me feel really normal!
In other news, I kidnapped Jackson tonight and took him with me to visit David at Ghirardelli. He ate way too much cookies n' cream ice cream (with sprinkles!) and asked me if I could live with him forever. All you need to win over a kid's heart is sugar :)

Memorial Day
I love Memorial Day - mostly because it means I didn't have to work today but the meaning behind it is nice too. It was also our 1 month wedding anniversary, which is exciting. Hooray!
We celebrated our troops and our wedding by spending the day at Epcot. It's still Flower & Garden Festival time, so we looked at all the pretty flowers, took a mandatory Soarin' flight and visited all the countries for some native cuisine. Then we had a nice, not-so-romantic dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Seriously, we have been to the same restaurant every single week since we've been back in Florida. It is amazing.
The rest of the weekend was great too, we just relaxed, watched some movies, made strawberry shortcake, went to church and did a little shopping (not at church, although that is entirely possible).
Hasta luego, weekend!
PS Today is the 10th day in a row that it has stormed here. The forcast for the next 10 days predicts the same thing. As fun and exciting and cool as I think storms are, this is a little ridiculous.

Noah
As I wrote the last post, I kept getting distracted by stupid WeatherBug thundering at me. It has been raining for DAYS here and doesn't feel like there is any end in sight. Unfortunately, it's not just a feeling - it's seriously not stopping for a long time, check out the 10 day forecast...
I'm ready to build an ark.

Hello!
I've been terrible at updating this thing, but that's because married life is fantastic! We have been busy with all the typical post-wedding stuff like returning/buying presents and writing Thank You notes but in between all that, we've had time for a lot of fun...
When we got back from Antigua, Sarah, Paul and Mary came to visit us! Besides seeing them, the highlight of the trip was eating the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream. You can watch a youtube video of it being made here. It's pretty insane.
Start to finish...
"Eight Scoops of Ice Cream served with all the Toppings in the house and a whole can of Whipped Cream" "A WHOLE CAN?!"
We all felt absolutely disgusting afterward but David has been looking forward to this day for a very, very long time. It was the 2nd best night of his life.
So other than eating we've been...eating. We discovered an amazing Mexican restaurant, tackled Uno deepdish pizzas and tried Einstein Bros. Bagels last weekend...we've also made our way through a lot of cookies, cupcakes and an ice cream cake. Mmmm!
In other important food news - David got a job at Ghirardelli! This is super exciting for me because I have a good excuse to eat a lot of ice cream now :) Hooray!
Life is sweet - literally.

Drum Roll...
Finally, the most important spring event has come and gone! We got married. Yay! There was a triple homicide in Athens the day of our wedding, but otherwise all went well.
And obviously, the 2nd most exciting part about getting married is the honeymoon!
We went to Atlanta, blew our wedding diets at Vortex on AMAZING cheeseburgers, were woken up by a fire alarm in the middle of the night, got up at 3AM for our flight and somehow survived the sub-zero, incredibly smelly Miami Aiport. The trip was great though! we loooooove Sandals Antigua. It exceeded our expectations and probably caused us to gain 10 lbs. and get skin cancer. Well worth it, though!
